The symptoms of the Black Death began with a headache and the chills and a fever.
You would then experience vomiting, back pain and sorness in your arms and legs. Within a few days, lumps start to appear on your neck, under armsand inner thighs. These lumps known as buboes would often become black and spilt open and began to ooze with pus and blood. It was possible to recover from the deadly disease, but it was unlikley. Soon the victim began to bleed internally, causing blood to pool under his skin. Death came quickly after this, but for others not quick enough. |
